I really like the gritty Daft Punk and Missy Elliot lovechild funk vibe of TERRY LYNN’s ‘Kingston Logic’. And no she is not singing about the leafy London suburb but the Jamaican Capital, great groove to this track, born for the late naughties dancefloor.
Speaking of dancefloors particularly those of the naughties variety, one of the dance acts to most successfully upgrade from the nineties to the naughties is Faithless. The new MARK KNIGHT Remix of their ‘Music Matters’ track is stonking (does anyone really say stonking??).
We’ve talked about THE PHENOMENAL HANDCLAP BAND before and how thery deserve adulation sumply for having such an ace name, what a bonus they make such great tunes too. Latest treat for our ears is ‘You’ll Disappear’ which has a really bluesy Doors-Esque modjo to it (albeit with a female vocal!).
PS Yes I’ve clearly watched too much Austin Powers recently re-reading this post
