DILLON FRANCIS, MODESTEP and ELBOW

There was a time when if a dance floor tune was below 120bpm I wasn’t interested, oh how you have changed that dubstep, reggaeton  and Jamie Woon. Latest evangeliser for this newer slower sound to have Bah Mitzvah’d  my conversion is DILLON FRANCIS, ‘Master Blaster’ is almost onomatopoeic  sounding as big as the name implies.

Another track guilty of full on GBH to nice neat genre de-linearisation is MODESTEP’s ‘Feel Good’. Is it a Bird? Is it a plane? Is it full-on Disco-Punk-Dubstep? What it certainly is is a dancefloor destroyer of the highest calibre in the filthiest way possible. Big, big track.

Now how can one be filled with anything other than sheer joy about the return of ELBOW? I love this band so appreciate me casting an opinion on new track ‘Neat Little Rows’  is akin to a mum judgeing her own baba in a beautiful baby comp. The top of class rosette definitely goes to Elbow, can’t wait to see them live (bit unsure bout the whole arena thing though).
