NOAH are the real deal, live they have everything. They ooze good vibes in such measure the NHS should look into getting them on tour round the wards, it’ll take a pretty epic drug to have more up-lifting impact than these guys (I’ll let you insert your own Viagra joke). Stunning vocals, great musicianship and awesomely catchy songs NOAH are a band with all it takes to make it to the very top, where ever that metaphorical top may lie.
Seeing NOAH I also caught JOEL BAKER, an equally potent artist (in the context of his ability to change moods instantly) he also has a bright future no doubt. Soulful, loveable and pretty dam flirty there seem to be two main vibes about JB tracks – they’re all very catchy and they’re all about girls. A sound born to be all over daytime FM radio, he’s already written about 47 summer anthems none more so than ‘Further Than Feelings’.
Equally immense in a way that couldn’t be more different to the happy go lucky vibes of the above two, there is something about ‘The Red Wing’ by FUCK BUTTONS that is majorly floating my boat. It’s an almost tantric piece of trippy dance-floor Indie Rock, the groove building and building, sonically swirling, chugging on and on with this hypnotic sample that had me from the first bar. YES I WILL BUY THE FUCK BUTTONS ALBUM. TWICE.
