RUSTIE, L.A. SALAMI plus MAVERICK SABRE

MAVERICK SABRE’s ‘I Need’ has been floating around the internet for a while but now he’s breaking through it’s getting the full ‘release works’. A really distinctive voice with hints of Plan B, Liam Bailey and what I imagine Amy Winehouse would have sounded like if she’d been a bloke. Penned for a mid-October release I wouldn’t be surprised if that gets brought forward, I can feel the momentum building.

‘Ultra Fizz’ by RUSTIE is the piece of electronic New Music currently demanding the most attention from ear drums, this is true sonic innovation. A suite of unique sounds combined in a fresh way, my ears can’t quite believe what they’re hearing, but they’re definitely having fun.

I was introduced to the awesomely named L.A SALAMI by the equally awesome Amazing Radio. For me ‘Failure’ exudes a wee bit of ‘South East London Version Of Darwin Deez’, minus the dodgy tash (incidentally my mate Jo thinks I’m way of on the DD vibe, hey ho), and that is a very good thing, x 2. Great pop song.
