Tunes born from the Electronic Music womb often take their time, either doing summersaults in the womb or when actually born pouncing around the maternity ward. Ok I think I’ve laboured (boom, boom) this metaphor enough. My point being electronic tracks often stay on the underground for a long time before surfacing nearer ‘mainstream/ crossover land’. I think SKREAM’s ravy number ‘Hats Off’ might be about to make the transition. Big tune.*

Keeping it Electronic-Ish I’ve been a big fan for a while now of CHAD VALLEY. ‘How Does It Feel’ has maintained my ‘fan-ship’. Like say Chilly Gonzales CV has quickly established a sound that is instantly recognised able as his, not sure if that’s a sign of innovation or that all his tunes sound the same, I’m saying the former!
Let’s finish on a soulful beauty, finding a lot of Soul influence tracks on me ipod at the moment, I think it’s the arrival of summer or sumat. Like Michael Kiwunaka last week OBENEWA is a brand new artist to me, a quick google search doesn’t through up that much but hey who cares? I’m lost in the music as Sister Sledge would say, ‘Bed’ is a truly stunning track,

* In no way did the breasts on the youtube vid effect my choice of this track. Honest.
