SLAVES, GLASS ANIMALS & KLAXONS (Yes Klaxons)

I’ve got something to say… I like the the new KLAXONS song. Actually that’s not accurate, I lurvveee the new KLAXONS song. There. Said it. Go and judge me and see if I care, I’ll be too busy dancing in the corner like it’s two thousand and seven. Again.

The year I started this blog wouldn’t you know.

SLAVES are the best new band I’ve seen live this year (just seven weeks in I realise that is a bit like calling a boxing match in 2014 the fight of the century). Fiesty, cheeky, loveable southern Punk rogues who give their performance so much energy a visit from the Royal Society For The Protection of Musical Instruments is likely to interrupt their set at any moment. Personally I’m willing to risk being charged as an accessory to cymbal, guitar AND snare drum abuse cause watching SLAVES is such a raucously joyous experience it’s worth risking a night at her Majesty’s pleasure. Those in the know please forgive the predictable shout but yes ‘Where’s your Car Debbie’ is currently the stand out tune.

Big up Bonnie for the heads up.

‘Gooey’ by GLASS ANIMALS is a fucker to describe, if I was playing it on the radio:

1) I’d have to not say fucker.

2) It would be one of those tracks where I’d simply shut up and let the song do the talking.

But we’re conversing via electronic paper so that’s not an option, unless I simply promise you this is a beaut –  original, catchy, groove laden with a touch of pop sugar. Much, much better than that makes it sound. And guide ya to the link below, yeah, let’s do that.

In a bit.
