YOUNG THE GIANT, THE SCARAMANGA SIX plus CYMBALS

If you like your Rock’n’Roll I sense you’ll be more than a bit partial to ‘My Body’ by YOUNG THE GIANT. Featuring the Rock equivalent to a ‘Wall-of-Sound’ it’s a big rock anthem well endowed with melody and passionate vocals. If this song was a cock it would be at least ten inches.

Talking of big tunes the interestingly named THE SCARAMANGA SIX certainly have a large sound going on, and a slightly mental one too. ‘Last Roll Of The Dice’ is musically huge, like one of those monster 20st plus rugby players who’s all muscle. They’re giants of men, this is a giant of tune.  Mental, orchestral rock nonsense in a very good way.

On a very different musical tangent lie the band who have already topped a weekly Brand Nu Top 3 this month. The latest tune by ‘Cymbals’ to caress my ears has done so effectively as its already positioning itself for another assault on the Brand Nu podium. ‘Totally Over’ has a stripped back funk vibe that really does it for me, video is ace too.
